About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Trackside Power Unit Systems Engineer to join our team at Red Bull Powertrains. As a key member of our Power Unit engineering team, you will play a vital role in the development and performance optimization of power unit systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and support during Formula One race events and testing sessions, ensuring the reliability and performance of power unit systems.
  • Monitor and analyze power unit telemetry data, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for optimization.
  • Collaborate with the design and development team to contribute to the ongoing improvement of power unit systems, focusing on areas such as power unit integration, energy recovery systems, cooling systems, and fuel efficiency.
  • Work closely with various departments within the Formula One team to ensure seamless integration of power unit systems with overall vehicle performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in motorsports, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of power unit systems used in Formula One racing.
  • Experience working in a trackside support role for a Formula One team or in a similar motorsport environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and telemetry systems used in motorsports, such as Atlas, System Monitor, MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and energy management principles.
