Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Corporate Lawyer to join our team at Jameson Legal as a Professional Support Lawyer for our Financial Services and Regulatory practice group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and technical legal support to fee-earners across the practice group, ensuring the highest level of expertise and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard forms and precedents, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by horizon scanning for the latest legal and regulatory developments, keeping the firm and team informed and up-to-date.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of know-how collateral, ensuring easy access to relevant information for the team.
  • Design and deliver topical technical training and seminars to the internal team and external clients, enhancing their knowledge and skills.
  • Explore and implement automation and technology solutions to optimize knowledge management and professional support functions.
  • Assist with ad-hoc in-house legal matters, including reviewing supplier agreements and serving as a point of contact for general queries from the team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 3 years' post-qualified experience in corporate, banking, and finance, funds, and regulatory work.
  • Desirable experience working as a Professional Support Lawyer, although not essential.
  • Exposure to working in an offshore firm would be of interest but is not a prerequisite.

What We Offer:

A unique, part-time opportunity (21 hours per week) to work closely with our Financial Services and Regulatory practice group, reporting to the Knowledge Management Director.
