Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our fundraising and communications efforts as the Fundraising & Communications Manager at Asylum Welcome Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure income from a diverse range of sources, including trusts, foundations, individuals, contracts, and partnerships.
- Lead a small team of fundraising and communications professionals to achieve income and engagement targets.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement a communications strategy that showcases the organization's impact and builds understanding of the issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community groups.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement a business plan that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
Requirements
- Proven track record of delivering income from multiple and varied sources.
- Experience of leading a small team and managing relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people.
- Ability to work from the Oxford office at least two days a week, with flexible working hours beyond that.
