About the Role
  • This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing health and safety issues, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fire safety, pest control, maintenance, cleaning, security, and other specialist areas to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to manage risk and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial food environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • An understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, including Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and basic Word skills.
  • H&S trained to IOSH standard (preferred but not essential).
  • Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
