We are seeking a compassionate and resilient individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant, providing crucial support to our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with our experienced teaching team to provide tailored support for young people facing mental health challenges.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to create a structured and positive classroom environment.
  • Foster a safe and supportive atmosphere that encourages emotional well-being and personal growth.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support during lessons, activities, and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, counsellors, and therapists to facilitate holistic development for students.
Essential Qualities and Experience
  • Previous experience working with young people facing mental health challenges and challenging behaviours, ideally in a school or therapeutic setting.
  • An interest in or studies related to psychology, counselling, or therapy, which can complement your ability to provide effective support.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals in improving their mental well-being.
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills to effectively manage challenging situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse emotional and behavioural needs of students.

Please note that while formal Mental Health qualifications are not mandatory, they are highly valued for success in this role.
