About the Project

We are working with a well-established client on a transformative Inventory Planning Optimization project with a major European retailer. This high-impact project aims to revolutionize merchandise planning, focusing on optimal inventory levels, enhanced demand forecasting, and streamlined in-season trading to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Role Overview

We're seeking an expert in Merchandise Planning with 10-15 years of experience in senior roles, ideally from fashion, sports, or lifestyle retail. If you're passionate about driving impact in inventory strategy and merchandise planning, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in-depth baseline analysis of current inventory levels
  • Evaluate and refine merchandise planning processes across key functions
  • Provide benchmark insights and identify strategies for stock optimization, including markdowns, tools, and training
  • Offer advanced demand forecasting techniques for ideal inventory levels
  • Assess in-season trading to maximize sales and minimize markdowns
  • Define target inventory mix across the supply chain
  • Support ROI financial evaluation and benefit estimation
  • Collaborate with our consulting team and stakeholders to drive successful project delivery

Requirements

  • 10-15 years' experience in merchandise planning with top retailers (EU, UK, US), ideally in fashion
  • Strong expertise in range and assortment planning, demand forecasting, and in-season trading
  • Data-driven, analytical mindset with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Consulting experience preferred but not essential
