About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Economist to join our team at the World Bank Group. As a key member of our Development Economics team, you will play a critical role in advancing our understanding of economic development and informing policy decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of Enterprise Surveys, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination of results.
  • Contribute to the management and development of website statistics and indicators based on Enterprise Surveys.
  • Conduct analytical research as required by the DECEA work program and by the DECIG agenda.
  • Represent the Unit in seminars, conferences, and other fora, internal and external, as needed for the dissemination of the products of the Unit.
Requirements
  • Completed Master's degree in Economics or related discipline, completed PhD or near completion preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience if candidate has PhD or pursuing it; if Master's degree, 5 years of experience will be required.
  • Experience on survey implementation and managing projects; Experience with firm-level survey design, data collection, and analysis is an advantage.
