About the Role

This position is for a Waking Night shift 10p-7am as and when required in St Helens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Service Users: Ensure that service users are supported safely and individual needs and service targets are met, meeting CQC fundamental standards.
  • Personal Care: Support clients with their personal care as determined within their individual care plan, including activities such as dressing, washing, bathing, or shaving, toileting, getting in or out of bed, eating, drinking, taking medication, and communicating.
  • Monitoring Progress: Monitor the progress of service users, being mindful of triggers for challenging behavior, seizures, and acting appropriately in line with agreed guidelines, highlighting any changes in an individual's behavior to the manager for updated support plans.
  • Emotional Support: Provide support for individuals who may regularly place emotional demands on the jobholder, raising significant issues to the manager.
  • Meetings and Reporting: Attend and contribute positively to meetings as requested by the manager, providing input by sharing the outcome of interactions with service users and highlighting issues that may impact the review of the service user's case.
  • Medication Administration: Ensure the accurate administration and recording of medication, including rescue medication, in line with the Council's Medication policy.
