Child Welfare Specialist

The role of a Court Advisor for Children's Needs is to safeguard and promote the welfare of children by considering their needs, wishes, and feelings in child cases. As a member of the Cafcass team, you will work with families to advise the family court on the interests, needs, wishes, and feelings of a child.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and submitting Section 7 reports as requested by the court to assist in reaching decisions concerning child welfare.
- Conducting interviews with children and parents to gather necessary information for reports.
- Compiling Section 37 reports when the court has concerns regarding a child's welfare.
- Working collaboratively with local authorities and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in social work and at least 2-3 years post qualification experience working in a Children Team that involves court work. A competitive salary of £37.25 per hour is offered for this full-time position.
