Care and Support Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Senior Carer to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Residential Senior Carer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of care staff, providing training, supervision, and delegating duties as needed. You will also be responsible for administering and ordering medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaising with GP's, district nursing teams, and resident family members.
We are looking for someone who is warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. You will have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, so there's no limit to how far you can go with us. Many of our Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads, or on to nursing pathways.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of care staff, providing training, supervision, and delegating duties as needed
- Administer and order medication
- Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments
- Liaise with GP's, district nursing teams, and resident family members
About You
The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. You will have previous experience in a residential care setting along with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of our residents.
