Research Model Developer in Ocean Power Generation

This role involves leading the development of integrated whole system design models of tidal stream turbines for renewable power generation as part of the EPSRC-funded programme CoTide.

You will work with the entire programme team and industry partners to develop whole system engineering tools that model complex interactions between system hydrodynamics, structural mechanics, fatigue and system reliability.

The successful candidate will possess a PhD (or near completion) in Engineering or a related discipline, with expertise in fluid mechanics, structural mechanics, fluid-structure interaction or systems modelling.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for ocean power generation.

An estimated salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum is offered for this position.
