Job Description

This role presents an excellent opportunity to join our team and contribute to the growth and success of the company. As a Technical Project Coordinator - Renewable Energy, you will play a key role in the Pre-Construction phase, supporting the tender evaluation process and collaborating with internal engineering team members, Technical Advisors/Consultants, implementing new software and collaboration tools, design review management, and preparations for mobilisation to site.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating internal and external technical design reviews
  • Collaborating with engineering team members to achieve alignment on key technical topics for EPC and equipment supply contract negotiation
  • Scrutinising contractor tender returns for evaluation against Employer's Requirements and support scoring against agreed evaluation criteria
  • Supporting design risk assessments, including maintaining site-specific assumptions/decisions logs
  • Supporting the resolution of Technical Queries (TQs) between EPC/equipment supply contractors and engineering team members
  • Contributing to the Health & Safety culture through proactive observations
  • Supporting technology selection and performance evaluations, such as PV yield assessments or BESS round-trip efficiency assessments

Requirements:

  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • A recent graduate or junior engineer with up to 3 years' experience in renewable energy development, design, construction, and commissioning
  • Proven ability to solve technical problems with a thorough and diligent problem-solving mindset
  • Proven ability to work positively in a team and communicate across different stakeholders
  • A willingness and ability to occasionally travel within the UK for site visits
  • Knowledge of key Solar and/or BESS and/or high voltage technologies and contractors and suppliers
  • Bachelor's degree or apprenticeship in engineering (any discipline), physics, applied maths or equivalent experience

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in data modelling/analysis
  • Experience in a client or design team environment for utility-scale projects
  • Experience working with varied stakeholders of renewable energy systems, such as clients, contractors, and suppliers, construction teams, etc., and an understanding of their value drivers and key information needs

The salary for this role is approximately £40,000 per annum, plus benefits.
