About the Role

Orion Group is seeking a highly skilled Data Commissioning Specialist to join our team working on the digitalization of a project. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming current document-centric commissioning processes into a modern, data-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Conversion: Help convert commissioning documents into a structured database using a PLM tool, such as Dassault 3DX or equivalent.
  • Process Automation: Develop solutions to automate the document conversion process for maximum efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical challenges related to the data transformation program.
  • Data Support: Assist commissioning engineers by identifying and initializing the data they need, acting as a liaison between them and developers.
  • Data Organization: Organize and model data in the PLM tools to support various tasks, including creating commissioning procedures and standard testing method catalogues.
  • Data Quality: Ensure data quality within the PLM tools and promote best practices.
  • Data Extraction: Extract and format data to meet different technical needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Bridge the gap between the technical team and the PLM tool-related teams, handling customization, debugging, and project management tasks.
  • Team Support: Become a key user within the commissioning team, providing support and guidance to colleagues on using the PLM tool effectively.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
  • Proven experience with PLM tools, databases, data management, and information systems.
  • Programming and dashboarding skills, with a strong understanding of data visualization.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced technical environment with competing demands, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
