At MLK Education Search, we are seeking an experienced Learning Support Professional to join a newly established independent school in West Drayton, Greater London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to children aged 5-11 with severe learning difficulties and Autism.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience teaching SEN children, especially those with severe learning difficulties and autism. Familiarity with the EQUALS curriculum is advantageous, as is experience with non-linear developmental assessment frameworks such as Routes for Learning or SCERTS.

We offer a competitive salary package of £23,000 - £34,500, based on responsibilities and training support. You will also have opportunities for internal growth and work in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging sessions to enhance learner engagement.
  • Create and implement Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs) for each student.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents.
  • Track and document student progress and attendance.
  • Support learners in developing self-regulation skills as needed.
  • Manage a specific pathway, providing direct line management for the associated classes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to review and enhance the Quality of Education within the pathway.
  • Oversee pastoral care and positive behavior strategies to boost engagement and learning within the pathway.
