Transformative Technical Author Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technical Author to play a critical role in the delivery of a high-impact government program. This initiative aims to centralize HR and procurement services onto a common platform, requiring high-quality documentation to ensure long-term success.

The Technical Author will collaborate with a team of architects and technical specialists to create comprehensive documentation that will serve as a key resource over the next 5 years. This role involves extracting knowledge from subject matter experts and synthesizing it into cohesive, clear documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed technical documentation that accurately reflects the program's architecture and functionality.
  • Work with architects and technical experts to gather insights and information, documenting complex systems in a clear, structured format.
  • Ensure the documentation aligns with our long-term needs and is accessible for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various specialists to bridge gaps in existing documentation, supporting the final stages of the program.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Technical Author, ideally in public sector or large-scale IT projects.
  • Strong ability to extract complex technical knowledge and translate it into clear, concise, and structured documentation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and large-scale system integration.
  • Ability to work with commercial partners and navigate the intricacies of public sector environments.
  • Experience working within government or public sector projects is desirable.
