Job Summary:

Rise Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will play a key role in leading our team to deliver sales, markdown, stock intake, and profit plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our Buying team to ensure the range plan delivers sales and margin while aligning with stock targets.
  • Manage stock levels based on weekly sales and stock intakes (WSSI) to optimize inventory.
  • Develop and execute budgets by category, option count, and depth of buy to drive business growth.
  • Recommend promotions and re-buys as necessary to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Work closely with your team to review core line cards on a weekly basis and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and execute a clear line-level exit strategy for range to reduce terminal stock levels.
  • Monitor and analyze weekly trading performance and achieved KPIs to inform business decisions.
  • Manage the range plan in Season, reflecting any changes and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, managing their workload and helping them achieve their career goals.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of creating OTB plans and WSSI management.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser with ownership for running your own department.
  • Proven track record of managing large budgets and SKUs.
  • Experience in team management and development.
  • Highly numerate and comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Commercially focused with a strong understanding of the retail industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present at Senior Management meetings and communicate across all levels of the business.
