Dealership Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dealership Accountant to join our team at Command Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the accounts function, delivering timely and accurate management accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, providing detailed analysis and commentary to senior management.
- Collate and examine purchase and sales ledger information from the centralised accounting department.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff and sales administrators.
- Provide analytical support across the business, evaluating profit optimisation opportunities.
- Monitor and review performance measurement tools and techniques.
- Review capital and project appraisals, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Consolidate group budgets and forecasts, providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Strong technical and analytical accounting skills, with experience in the motor industry.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Proven track record in accounting and finance, with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
- Experience with accounting software, such as Kerridge or Pinnacle.
- Strong written and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
