Dealership Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dealership Accountant to join our team at Command Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the accounts function, delivering timely and accurate management accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the motor industry, with experience in accounting and financial management. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis and commentary
- Collating and examining purchase and sales ledger information from the centralised accounting department
- Supervising one or two accounts staff and a sales administrator
- Providing analytical support across the business, evaluating profit optimisation
- Monitoring performance measurement tools and techniques for projects
- Reviewing capital and project appraisals
- Consolidating group budgets and forecasts
- Conducting investigative and analytical exercises as required
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and focused individual who can quickly establish themselves as a key contact for management information. You will have strong technical and analytical accounting skills, excellent leadership skills, and a good sense of humour.
