Dealership Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dealership Accountant to join our team at Command Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the accounts function, delivering timely and accurate management accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the motor industry, with previous experience in a car dealership and a strong understanding of accounting packages such as Kerridge and Pinnacle.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, providing detailed analysis and commentary to the Divisional Finance Directors.
- Collate and examine purchase and sales ledger information from the centralised accounting department.
- Supervise and support a team of Accounts staff and a Sales Administrator.
- Provide analytical support across the business, evaluating profit optimisation opportunities.
- Monitor performance measurement tools and techniques to inform business decisions.
- Review capital and project appraisals to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Consolidate group budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning.
- Strong technical and analytical accounting skills.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a good sense of humour.
- Proven track record in the motor industry.
- Previous experience in a car dealership and a strong understanding of accounting packages such as Kerridge and Pinnacle.
- Strong written and communication skills.
