About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at SSE plc. As a key member of our Protection & Control (P&C) Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our distribution network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and develop P&C designs for the 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV network
  • Collaborate with suppliers to assess new products and services
  • Work on projects focused on innovation, standardization, and technology assessment
  • Support the construction and energization of projects
  • Participate in commissioning panel meetings and witness FAT and on-site commissioning
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Experience working on the distribution network from 11kV to 132kV (preferably in the UK)
  • Knowledge of UK electrical practices and standards
  • Understanding of CDM regulations
  • Current driving license
