Job Title: Android Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Software Development Engineer to join our team at New Resource Group. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of software and firmware for next-generation Respiratory Protective Equipment and Thermal Imaging Cameras.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with technical teams to deliver innovative products on time and within budget, meeting customer needs.
  2. Software development (authoring, GUI design, version control, validation, and maintenance)
  3. Process engineering (developing flows, best practices, and coding standards)
  4. Lead product development from concept to production.
  5. Define technical requirements and ensure they are met during development.
  6. Assist with project planning, cost estimation, and risk analysis.
  7. Conduct R&D for product improvements.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams and represent the company externally.
Required Skills:

Essential:

  1. Proficiency in C and C++ for firmware and software development.
  2. Experience with IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio, MPLAB).
  3. Full software lifecycle experience, including validation and hardware integration.
  4. Familiarity with electronic/electromechanical components and communication buses.
  5. Strong documentation, team collaboration, and project management skills.

Desirable:

  1. Experience with safety-related standards (e.g., IEC).
  2. Familiarity with thermal camera products, SCBA, or Respiratory Protective Equipment.
  3. Experience with modern microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, PIC) and tools (CMake, GitHub Actions).
  4. Android and over-the-air firmware development.
Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in delivering innovative products. Experience with New Product Innovation (NPI) and maintaining existing software is also essential. A degree in Software or Electronics Engineering (2:1 or equivalent) is required.
