SEN Teaching Assistant Job Description

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Lambeth. The successful candidate will work within an ARP unit, supporting children with special educational needs.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons to SEN pupils
* Coordinate effectively with the class teacher to ensure a smooth learning environment
* Work closely with a specific pupil in the class, providing individual support and guidance
* Perform safeguarding duties to ensure the well-being of all pupils

**Requirements**

* Ability to work effectively with SEN needs
* Experience working with SEN children (desirable)
* Willingness to help in extra-curricular activities
* Ability to work effectively with small groups
