Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: England, Greater London, Lambeth

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £150 - £205 Per day

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Deliver engaging lessons to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Adapt Teaching Methods: Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with varying SEN requirements
  • Assess and Monitor Progress: Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support when necessary
  • Collaborate with SENCOs: Collaborate with SENCOs, parents, and external agencies to create individual education plans for students
  • Create a Safe Learning Environment: Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of students
Required Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience Working with SEN: Experience working with students with SEN in a secondary school setting
  • Understanding of SEN Regulations: Understanding of SEN regulations and best practices in education
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Minimum 2 Years Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching secondary students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Differentiated Instruction: Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with SEN
  • Strong Classroom Management: Strong classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of SEN Conditions: Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies to support students
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postgraduate Qualification: Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs (SEN)
  • Training in Interventions: Training in specific interventions for students with SEN
Working Conditions
  • Secondary School Environment: Work within a secondary school environment in Lambeth, Greater London
  • Full-Time Position: Full-time position with regular school hours
  • Collaborative Work: Collaborative work with SENCOs, parents, and external agencies
  • Professional Development: Ongoing professional development opportunities
