Senior Support Worker
CareTech Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team in Somerset. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing supportive accommodation to young people with complex needs.
Our Supported Accommodation provides a stepping stone towards independence, rather than a cliff-edge of care. Each young person will lead their journey, creating care plans in conjunction with our support which focus on independent living skills, both practical and emotional, and giving them every opportunity to thrive as young adults.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in all aspects of their everyday lives and the positive impact you will have is immeasurable. You will lead shifts, deputise for the Service Manager, and ensure that you are up to date with all mandatory learning and development.
We offer a competitive rate of pay, up to £14.22 per hour dependent on experience/qualifications, as well as completely free on-shift meals and parking. You will also have access to training and development plans to meet your individual needs, including NVQs and career progression opportunities.
Requirements for this role include a full UK driving licence, a desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, and 12 months senior experience working in a Residential setting. We also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey.
At CareTech Group, we are committed to promoting equal opportunities for all and challenging any behaviour or practice which discriminates against any young person or colleague on the grounds of race, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation or any other perceived difference.
This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role where the little things you do every day will have life-changing results. Whether helping someone to achieve their personal potential or growing our reputation as a provider of the best quality behavioural health services in the UK.
We already have 27 Ofsted 'Outstanding Provider' Awards – and we are looking for talented individuals like you to join our team and help us achieve many, many more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading shifts and deputising for the Service Manager
- Ensuring that you are up to date with all mandatory learning and development
- Communicating with the on-site team and raising awareness with regards to individual care plans and their implementation
