About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Surgical Therapy team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients admitted to our Surgical wards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical assessment and treatment for complex Surgical patients, including rehabilitation and respiratory components of care.
  • Support the delivery of training and development of junior members of staff to develop clinical skills.
  • Contribute to the operational management of the team, under the supervision of a Band 7 Physiotherapist.
  • Represent Physiotherapy Service at Multidisciplinary Meetings to ensure the delivery of a co-ordinated Multidisciplinary Service.
  • Supervise junior staff, students, and assistants on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrable post-registration experience in the NHS UK.
  • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Evidence of a contribution to clinical education / supervision of less experienced staff, students, or assistants.
