Job Summary

We are seeking an Arrears Management Specialist to join our team at Fourth. As a key member of our credit control function, you will be responsible for the timely collection of funds from customers and the resolution of any queries or issues that may arise.

As an Arrears Management Specialist, you will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve outstanding payments issues. You will be responsible for ensuring that all debts are collected in a timely manner and that customer accounts are maintained accurately. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will enable you to build strong relationships with our customers and ensure that their needs are met.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be able to work proactively and make sound judgments when resolving anomalies. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines without direct supervision, and have a systematic approach to work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the senior controllers and ultimately the Credit Manager to ensure cash is collected to terms.
  • Timely and effective collection of all debts.
  • Effective management of instalment plans where necessary.
  • Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are received and processed and therefore clear for payment.
  • Dealing with customer queries by phone and email.
  • Converting manual payers to auto-pay.
  • Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices.
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts and reduction of unallocated cash.
