Osmii is seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing database systems, managing PostgreSQL databases, and migrating the RDBMS to PostgreSQL.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement database systems to meet business requirements
- Manage PostgreSQL databases to ensure optimal performance, integrity, and security
- Migrate the RDBMS to PostgreSQL to improve database efficiency
- Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing backup and recovery processes
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure database alignment with business objectives

- Perform database tuning and optimization to improve performance
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide solutions to ensure minimal downtime

Requirements
- Proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA with a strong understanding of database systems and technologies
- Familiarity with database tools and technologies, including DMS, DMA, and schema conversion
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with database automation and scripting languages, such as liquibase, flyway, and cron job
- Ability to stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends
- Train and mentor junior database administrators to ensure knowledge sharing and growth
