Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Organic Farm Director to join our team. As the Assistant Organic Farm Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our organic farm, including crop planning, labor supervision, inventory management, and maintaining organic certification standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Farm Operations: Plan, plant, cultivate, irrigate, and harvest crops according to organic farming standards.
  2. Staff Management: Train and supervise farm staff, seasonal workers, and volunteers.
  3. Organic Certification Compliance: Ensure that all farm activities comply with organic farming regulations.
  4. Equipment & Resource Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and facilities.
  5. Budget & Financial Oversight: Assist in following and managing the farm's annual labor and supply budget.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in agriculture, horticulture, agronomy, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. 3-5 years of experience managing an organic farm or large-scale agricultural operation.
  3. In-depth knowledge of organic farming practices, pest management, soil health, crop rotation, and irrigation systems.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
