About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Radiographer to join our Cardiac Imaging team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As an Advanced Cardiac Radiographer - Specialist Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality imaging services and contributing to the development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Cardiac CT radiographic services, utilizing advanced knowledge and skills to ensure high-quality images and patient care.
  • Lead and coordinate the radiography team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve departmental goals.
  • Develop and implement training programs for junior staff and students, promoting professional development and excellence in Cardiac CT radiography.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • BSc or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography and HCPC State Registration.
  • Post-graduate specialist training equivalent to Master's level (desirable).
  • Demonstrable evidence of expert Cardiac CT radiographic experience and advanced knowledge in Cardiac CT imaging.
  • Experience of working with junior staff and students, with a strong track record of training and development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt training and teaching styles to meet the needs of trainees.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cardiac CT imaging techniques and innovations, with a strong understanding of PACS, RIS, and CRS systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a high level of personal and radiographic standards, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use own initiative, solve problems, and make decisions, with a strong commitment to quality and patient safety.
