Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our ABS Training and Development team as an Audit Training and Development Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in training staff to manage regulatory and reputational risk in a challenging environment.

Our team is responsible for providing continuous and relevant practical training to audit teams across the country. We work closely with audit teams, the Assurance Technical and Training (ATAT) team, and Learning and Development to deliver a cohesive service.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure all are informed about relevant training and feedback is considered.
  • Organize, develop, review, and deliver training to agreed timelines.
  • Prepare proposals for developing training, attend internal meetings, and develop a network of contacts.
  • Manage/co-manage a portfolio of audit clients to maintain knowledge and experience of current practices and issues.
Requirements
  • Qualified by experience (ACA, CA, ACCA) with significant external audit experience in a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, industry specifics, and their application.
  • Good working knowledge of skill requirements for staff at various levels to ensure work is undertaken by the appropriate individual.
  • Very good communication skills to liaise with all stakeholders.
