About the Role
We're seeking a talented individual to join our ABS Training and Development team. As an Audit Training and Development Manager, you will be a part of our team responsible for playing a key role in training staff in practical ways to manage the firm's regulatory and reputational risk in an increasingly challenging environment.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with all stakeholders, including the Training and Development Lead, to ensure all are kept up to date with relevant training and that feedback is taken into account.
- Organise, develop, review, and deliver training to agreed timescales.
- Prepare proposals for developing training, attend all relevant internal meetings and training sessions, and develop a network of contacts.
- Manage/co-manage a limited portfolio of audit clients to maintain knowledge and experience of current practices and issues.
Requirements
- Qualified by experience (ACA, CA, ACCA) with significant external audit experience gained within a professional services environment.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, industry specifics, and their application.
- Good working knowledge of skill requirements of staff at various levels to ensure work is undertaken by the appropriate individual.
- Very good communication skills to liaise with all stakeholders.

- Previous experience in developing and delivering practical training.
- A strong appetite to see people develop and improve audit quality.
- Ability to develop and present practical audit content at a high level, responsive to the needs of the business.
