We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic trainee Biomedical Scientist to join our team in the Blood Science laboratory at NHS Dumfries & Galloway.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art hospital with a purpose-built laboratory, providing a clinical laboratory service to the NHS 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for rotating in all areas of the laboratory, including Biochemistry Automation, Biochemistry Manual, Haematology Automation, Special Investigations, Morphology, and Blood Transfusion.

Applicants must hold or be working towards an IBMS accredited Biomedical Science degree or equivalent, with approved degree assessment from IBMS.

During the training period, the candidate will be paid at Band 5, with the opportunity to progress to Band 6 upon completion of the IBMS Certificate of Competence and Specialist Portfolio.

**Key Responsibilities:**
