Job Title: Site Maintenance Engineer

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in the Wrexham area as a Site Maintenance Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks using CMMS systems, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with statutory Health and Safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • To compile and maintain up-to-date maintenance records to support the site's maintenance planning process.
  • To work under the direction of the site Health and Safety officer to ensure that the area complies with statutory Health and Safety requirements.
  • To accurately record and report all engineering downtime daily to inform maintenance planning decisions.

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognized, appropriate apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience as a Site Services Engineer with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Competent Steam Boiler Operator (BOAS) qualification.
  • Experience with actuators, sensors, hot water cylinders, pumps, chillers, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, and compressed air systems.
  • Knowledge of small-scale mechanical installation work.
  • Knowledge of Hot and Cold-Water Systems.
  • Knowledge of Effluent Treatment.
  • Ability to carry out manual work, working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • PC Literate.
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written.
