About the Role
The Director of Children's Services will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of high-quality social care services in line with the Council's vision and values. This will involve driving the strategic direction of Children's Services, leading the Children's Improvement Plan, fostering partnerships with local agencies, and managing resources to deliver high-quality services within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic direction of Children's Services, ensuring services are effective, integrated, and focused on achieving the best outcomes for children and families.
- Lead the Children's Improvement Plan, working closely with the Chief Executive, elected members, and key partners to deliver high-quality services.
- Foster partnerships with local agencies, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination of services.
- Manage resources to deliver high-quality services within budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective financial management.
Requirements
We are seeking a strong leader with a proven track record in senior management roles within children's social care or similar services. The ideal candidate will have:
