We are seeking an experienced professional to support the Head of Practice Improvement in designing, developing, delivering, and implementing an audit and quality assurance programme for children's services. The successful candidate will ensure that the themes emerging from the programme are fully reflected in learning and development programmes, demonstrating impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Practice Improvement in designing and implementing an audit and quality assurance programme for children's services.
  • Ensure that the programme is delivered, maintained, and scrutinised to demonstrate measurable improvements in quality across Children's Social Care.
  • Develop and implement performance monitoring systems to ensure consistently high-quality Social Work practice.
  • Collaborate with professionals and families to analyse information and form judgements regarding appropriate interventions.
  • Manage risk and quality assure Social Work, including assessments, care plans, and Court-directed work.
  • Organise and plan tasks to meet agreed timescales and deadlines.
  • Develop and support staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with professionals, families, and management at all levels.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation relating to children and young people and care leavers.
  • Ability to analyse information and form judgements regarding appropriate interventions.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills to manage risk and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with professionals, families, and management.
  • Ability to develop and implement performance monitoring systems.
