Panel Vice Chair Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to support the Chair in leading our Fostering Panel. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children, foster carers, and the community.

About the Role
  • This role involves supporting the Chair in conducting monthly virtual panel meetings, ensuring decisions are made in the best interests of all parties involved.
  • The successful candidate will have experience of sitting on a fostering panel, employment experience at team manager level or above, and the ability to chair meetings and develop policies.
  • Duties include occasional chairing of Panel meetings, coordinating and directing the work of the Fostering Panel, facilitating active participation of all panel members, and regular liaison with senior managers.
  • The Panel Vice Chair will also participate in recruitment, selection, and induction of new panel members, as well as assisting the Chair in planning training for and appraisal of panel members.
Key Requirements
  • A Standard DBS clearance is required for this role.
  • The successful applicant will be engaged on an office holder basis and be required to have professional membership to a social work body if they are currently a practicing social worker or other professional.
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - 70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
