Company Overview:

Shire Healthcare is a leading provider of specialist services for children and young people who have experienced developmental trauma. Our CYP trauma service delivers bespoke packages to children's residential homes, local authorities, supported accommodation providers, and educational settings.

We provide therapeutic support to organisations to help the development of their trauma-informed practice. Our team of experts works closely with external organisations, including schools and educational settings, to offer consultations, reflective practice, direct therapeutic input, assessments, and training.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and leadership of our therapy service, contributing to the wider company's centre of excellence in the field of developmental trauma and attachment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological assessments, formulation, and interventions to children, young people, and their families.
  • Work with external organisations, including schools and educational settings, offering consultations, reflective practice, direct therapeutic input, assessments, and training.
  • Develop and lead our therapy service, contributing to the wider company's centre of excellence in the field of developmental trauma and attachment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of working with complex CYP services such as CAMHS, children's residential, and/or YOT services.
  • Degree in Psychology or related field and HCPC registration.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £46,100 - £60,000 FTE, depending on experience. The role can be based in either Leigh or Rochdale, with opportunities to work and travel in the surrounding areas.
