Job Title: Medical Receptionist

Mickleover Surgery is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, responding to queries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage patient appointments, including booking, cancelling, and rescheduling, ensuring efficient use of clinical resources.
  • Handle patient queries and concerns, escalating issues to relevant staff members as needed.
  • Process patient data, including registration, amendments, and deletions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scanning documents, processing payments, and maintaining practice records.
  • Support the practice team in maintaining a safe and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the practice, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
Requirements:
  • GCSE level education or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external agencies.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or administrative setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and practice procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn practice-specific systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
