About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Hexagon Care Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential children's home.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support and care to young people, focusing on their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, promoting a sense of security and trust.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Participate in planning and implementing activities, outings, and events that promote socialization, education, and personal growth.
- Manage challenging behaviors effectively, using de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in a residential setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Ability to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
