About the Role

This position will oversee and manage organization-wide data governance initiatives, focusing on enhancing data quality and managing key information assets to improve the overall data and data governance maturity of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce the data governance framework, covering ownership, onboarding, standards, rules, and processes.
  • Lead data governance committees to ensure ICIS decision-making evolves to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with technology and architecture teams to manage changes to the data catalogue and DQ hub estate.
  • Develop and agree on metrics to measure data governance and quality, providing actionable insights to drive proactive mindsets.
  • Train and educate data stewards and owners on data governance and quality management practices.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings across business areas for onboarding, improving, and raising the data governance profile.
  • Help manage the DQ roadmap and promote the DQ Hub as a service.
  • Analyze and profile current data, identify and track data quality issues, and suggest areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Display experience in delivering big projects, managing timelines, and mitigating risks.
  • Experience in data governance management from a business and technical perspective.
  • Motivate and hold teams accountable to rules, frameworks, or delivery.
  • Experience in partnering with and influencing diverse teams in multiple locations.
  • Experience with SQL, dashboarding, and/or a technical background could be valuable.
