Cybersecurity Solution Architect

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our team at GE Aviation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing advanced energy management systems, building automation, and industrial control solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Architecture:
- Lead the design and architecture of integrated energy management solutions tailored to industrial customers.
- Develop solutions that incorporate Cloud-based ISO 50001 energy management systems, building automation and control systems, and energy metering technologies.
- Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Inquiry -To-Order (ITO) Support:
- Support Region teams with site audits, project proposals, effort, and cost estimates.
- Customer Engagement:
- Engage with industrial customers to understand their specific energy management needs and challenges.
- Translate customer requirements into functional and technical specifications for solution design.
- Present and communicate proposed solutions to customers, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals and technical requirements.
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, from initial concept through site audits, design, implementation, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, engineers, project managers, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on energy management systems, building automation, and industrial control technologies.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to energy management, building automation, and industrial controls.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in existing solutions and processes.
- Contribute to the development of best practices, templates, and standards for solution architecture.
- Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure that all solutions are compliant with relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 50001.
- Work closely with compliance teams to align solutions with regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus on energy management systems, building automation, and industrial control systems.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, integrated solutions to industrial customers.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of Cloud-based energy management systems, particularly those compliant with ISO 50001.
- Expertise in building automation and control systems, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
- Strong knowledge of energy metering technologies, including electricity, natural gas, and other utilities.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in industrial environments.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in solution architecture, cloud platforms, or energy management (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, ISO 50001 Lead Auditor, etc.) are highly desirable.
