Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Tomorrow Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher to inform ongoing interventions and adjustments.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special education are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to adapt to the individual needs and learning styles of students.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
