About the Role

This position involves delivering personalized care services to residents in our care home. Your main responsibilities will include identifying residents' needs and preferences, working collaboratively with other teams to achieve this goal, and maintaining a high standard of hygiene in accordance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic care services to residents, including identifying their hospitality, housekeeping, and catering needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve the above goal.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene, adhering to health and safety standards, food hygiene legislation, and company policies.
  • Ensure room checks, communal room comfort, cleanliness, hygiene, and laundry sorting.
  • Meet residents' unique needs and collaborate with colleagues across the care home teams.
  • Prepare lounge areas for use as a coffee and bar venue for residents and their visitors.

Working Hours and Terms

This is a part-time position, working 12 hours per week, every Saturday and Sunday, from 7.30am to 2pm, with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.

Requirements

  • Confident IT skills and experience with standard office programs, including word processing, email, and system folders.
  • Understanding of basic food preparation and cleaning techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic health and safety rules and customer service principles.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Level 1 or 2 in Food Hygiene or equivalent.
  • Level 2 in Healthcare Cleaning or equivalent.
  • General level of education, such as GCSE or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and video call programs, such as Facetime or Zoom.
  • Working experience in a care setting.
  • Knowledge of safe moving and handling techniques.
