Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEN Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to a student in UKS2. This student is facing severe anxiety and SEMH challenges, which have led to reluctance in attending school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer one-on-one support to the student, with a primary focus on reducing anxiety and addressing SEMH needs.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages the student's engagement.
  • Implement effective strategies to motivate the student to participate in school activities.
  • Collaborate closely with our experienced SEN team and teachers to develop personalized support plans.
  • Regularly monitor and report on the student's progress to the SEN Coordinator.
  • Build a strong rapport with the student, fostering their confidence and well-being.
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom atmosphere that facilitates learning.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students facing severe anxiety and SEMH challenges is highly valued.
  • Possession of relevant teaching assistant qualifications or certifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a true passion for supporting students with SEN.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual needs.
  • Dedication to promoting a positive and enriching learning experience.
