About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our team at Janus Henderson, responsible for managing and growing our global equity portfolios. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies, working closely with our portfolio managers and analysts to ensure alignment with client expectations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement investment strategies for our global equity portfolios, working closely with our portfolio managers and analysts.
  • Manage and grow our global equity portfolios, ensuring alignment with client expectations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with our global marketing and distribution teams to identify commercial opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Articulate our team's philosophy, process, performance, and portfolio positioning to internal and external clients.
  • Engage with portfolio managers to ensure investment strategy aligns with client expectations and guidelines across market environments.
  • Lead regular investment discussions with portfolio managers and analysts.
  • Drive distribution strategy to support new business and asset retention efforts with key accounts.
  • Represent our equity strategies at client conferences and investment panels.
  • Interpret data and attribution analysis, working with investment/content writers to edit investment commentaries.
  • Partner with product management to perform analysis and provide recommendations on product fees, minimums, and competitive positioning.
Requirements
  • Significant equity or fixed income investment experience as a client portfolio manager, research analyst, portfolio manager, strategist, or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant sector/product/instruments for the role.
  • Strong knowledge of macro and market trends with the ability to represent strategy views.
  • Ability to understand data related to portfolio attribution, contribution, and risk measures.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products and competitors.
  • Data interpretation from institutional sources.
  • In-depth understanding of investment processes within the asset class/strategy.
  • Excellent communication, client relationship management, and sales/marketing skills.
  • Perceptive and proactive by nature with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
  • Ability to set goals, work independently, and get results.
  • Ability to assimilate complex and varied market data.
  • Broad knowledge of financial products.
  • Experience with presentation development and delivery.
  • Ability to drive ideas from concept to completion through efficient project management and execution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or CFA Charter Holder.
