Job Title: 1:1 Behaviour Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Specialist to join our team at a SEN Primary School in Bedford. As a Behaviour Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with severe and complex learning difficulties and health needs.

Job Summary:

This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent. The successful candidate will work closely with the class Teacher to provide 1:1 support and develop skills-based learning plans. You will also be responsible for reporting on progress and contributing to the overall wellbeing of the students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support class Senior LSA's and Teachers in preparing resources for students with personalised learning intentions.
  • Provide 1:1 support under the supervision of the class Teacher for the delivery of skills-based learning.
  • Work closely with the class Teacher to report on progress using an evidence-based approach.
  • Enable students to learn by understanding their learning goals and targets, and by providing opportunities for them to practice and learn new skills.
  • Contribute to the provision of all aspects of support necessary to ensure the students' wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning.
  • Understand and implement Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements:

A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths is required. Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting is ideal, but not necessary. The successful candidate will have initiative, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent at a later date.
