SEN Teacher Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team in a lovely mainstream school in Merton, Southwest London. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and special school support assistants, to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of students with SLD/PMLD and be able to develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to their individual needs. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on student progress, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that students receive the best possible education.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver high-quality lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students with SLD/PMLD
- Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to support student development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that students receive the best possible education
- Support students with complex medical needs, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that their needs are met
