Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Coordinator to join our team. This role involves supporting faculty success through collaboration with various departments, including the Center for Teaching and Learning, Academic Technology, and the Faculty Governance Office. The successful candidate will also serve as a subject matter expert on key student success initiatives and act as liaison to the University Promotions and Tenure Committee.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support faculty success by collaborating with various departments to implement new faculty orientation, mentoring initiatives, leadership development, and other faculty development programs.
  2. Act as subject matter expert on key student success initiatives, including faculty advising and related tools and professional development.
  3. Serve as liaison to the University Promotions and Tenure Committee and facilitate the faculty tenure and promotions process by ensuring compliance with established policies.
  4. Adjudicate academic integrity appeals and coordinate with faculty and student life colleagues to resolve issues.
  5. Collaborate across provost leadership teams to collect, analyze, and disseminate faculty and program data in support of academic affairs priorities.
Requirements
  • Full-time faculty at University of the Pacific.
  • Earned doctorate (or terminal degree) from an accredited institution.
  • Excellent ability to plan, organize, manage, and coordinate multiple projects, budgets, and teams with varied deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, consistently proactive in carrying out responsibilities, and proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations.
  • Deep knowledge of faculty governance, curricular and academic administrative processes, and workflows.
  • Strong collaborative and strategic planning skills.
Estimated Salary

$85,000 - $115,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
