**Job Title:** Post Room Assistant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Post Room Assistant. As a key member of our reception team, you will be responsible for providing a flexible, efficient, and professional post room service to our students living in halls.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Securely receive, sort, and distribute mail and parcels for residents and staff
* Maintain and update records and registers as required
* Provide timely notification of post to residents and staff
* Ensure the working environment is properly maintained and kept tidy at all times
* Offer prompt and effective help, information, and advice to residents and staff
* Assist with reception duties as needed
* Undertake training as required
* Be prepared to work flexibly, including during busy periods at the start of each academic term
* Comply with health and safety guidelines and ensure work is performed in a safe manner

**Person Specification:**

* Previous work experience in a service delivery environment
* Excellent customer service skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage time productively

**Desirable Criteria:**

* Previous experience working within a team
* Health and safety conscious
* Ability to interpret and manipulate data
* Good planning and organizational skills
* 5 A-C 'GCSE' level or equivalent
* Ability to undertake a varied workload and prioritize tasks as needed
