Company OverviewThe company is an established Contractor who are turning over circa £70m a year and have projects across the UK in multiple sectors including Residential, Healthcare, Commercial, Education, M&E, MEP and Facilities Maintenance.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate can expect a salary of £100,000 - £120,000 per annum, which is reflective of the role's seniority and responsibilities.
The position will be office-based in Kent, offering a comfortable working environment and opportunities for career growth and development.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a top-performing Procurement Director to join our team and help strategically and digitally grow the business. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement strategy, contract management, and team leadership.
- Engage on and influence large-scale flagship projects, developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive business growth and efficiency.
- Lead and develop an outstanding team of specialist procurement consultants, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
The wider team includes specialists in procurement and contract strategy, claims management, and dispute resolution services. The successful candidate will work closely with these teams to deliver business objectives and drive growth.
Main Expectations- Provide specialist procurement strategy, leveraging industry expertise and market knowledge to inform decision-making.
- Lead and manage end-to-end procurement services on major projects or programmes, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Support the development of procurement services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
- Contribute to the delivery of both team and wider business targets, driving revenue growth and profitability.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Main Contractor, Sub-Contractor or Developer experience, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
- The ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams, driving engagement and motivation.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
